America. With exceptional salmon and steelhead fishing, hunting big game or the
myriad of birds we have, or if you are into water activities, White Bird is the
place for you if you have a passion for this. With a population of about 150, we
are as proud of our past history as we are of our present, with a great public
school, wonderful merchants, family run farms and ranches, small service
businesses and no lines, no stress, no traffic!!
The breathtaking views and vistas whether you are hunting or fishing on the
Salmon River or from White Bird Creek, snowmobiling, horse riding, skiing,
visiting our rodeo, shopping or an avid ATV rider we hope y'all will keep coming
back to a little piece of heaven!
If you decide to take a trip into the deepest gorge of the United States, Hell's
Canyon - you can do so by going through White Bird. It is the easiest
access into Hell's Canyon as there are only two ways to do so by car. You
can also float into it with one of our local businesses, and it will be an
experience you will never forget. Dine at one of our three restaurants in town,
then enjoy a peaceful nights rest at the many places we have to stay at.
